Dr. Moffat’s Contribution to Development of Physical Therapy in Taiwan

The 6th Asia-Western Pacific Regional Congress of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT-AWP) and 12th international Congress of Asian Confederation for Physical Therapy (ACPT) is being held in Taichung by Taiwan Physical Therapy Association from September 5 to September 9 this year. During the Banquet of September 8, Dr. Moffat is going to be recognized for her great contribution to development of physical therapy in Taiwan. Dr. Moffat is a physical therapy professor in New York University and currently is the president of WCPT. From 1981 to present, she visited Taiwan 12 times and always brought new perspectives for us. In addition to providing updated knowledge of evidence based physical therapy practice, she also assisted us to meet a high standard of curricula of entry-level and graduate programs, to safeguard the rights of physical therapists, and to broaden and deepen our perspective of thought. She is a mentor, a leader, and a facilitator of us all. We do appreciate all efforts Dr. Moffat makes and would like to express the greatest gratitude to her.
